Model Factories is a global initiative launched by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to strengthen the ecosystem for innovation, digitalization, and entrepreneurship in manufacturing.
A structural transformation in the economy is being implemented by the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) through the establishment of Innovation Centers, Centres for Applied Competence, and Centers for Digital Transformation - Model Factories. Four newly established Model Factory and Innovation Centers established in Ankara, Bursa, Kayseri and Konya, which have been developed in collaboration with UNDP and Ministry of Industry and Technology, will undergo digital transformation projects under IAS - Industrial Application Software Turkey's leadership.
Model factories will enhance the competitiveness of our companies and prepare them for the Industrial Revolution 4.0, by offering guidance on entrepreneurship, institutionalization, process innovation, digitalization, and lean manufacturing.
